Pressotherapy & Far Infrared Massage in a Two-Room Salon: A Russian Owner's 90-Day Review
One pressotherapy machine, two treatment rooms, a new signature service. A small salon owner in Russia reviews how far infrared massage and sequential air compression changed her booking calendar in 90 days.
Why we added a body program
Our salon has two treatment rooms and a steady facial clientele, but the body menu was thin - a manual massage table and not much else. Body treatments are where the booking gaps were, and where clients kept asking what else we offered. We wanted a machine that could carry a real body program without needing a dedicated operator for every session.
Pressotherapy with far infrared warming fit that gap: a program the client experiences while fully clothed, easy enough for any of our three therapists to run, and something we could present as a proper treatment rather than an add-on.
Training, and the first clients
Before the machine arrived we did a video call with the factory team. They walked us through the panel, the programs and how to change air bags, and sent the manual in our language in advance. For a machine this automatic, the training took an afternoon, not a week.
The first sessions were with our own regular clients. The feedback that came back was consistent: a feeling of lightness after the session, and a warm, comfortable experience from the far infrared warming. We sell it exactly as what it is - a body contouring and slimming assistance treatment - and that honest positioning is what clients book it for.

90 days later
Ninety days in, pressotherapy is the most re-booked service on the menu. We sell it as a course rather than a one-off, which suits the machine and suits the client. Because the program is automatic, one therapist can run it and attend to both rooms across a day, which is how a two-room salon gets its value from a single unit.
The far infrared option is the one clients ask about by name. It is the difference between a treatment that works and one that is pleasant enough to come back for - and that difference is what drives the repeat bookings.
What I'd tell another owner
Match the machine to the program you will actually sell, not to the most features on a spec sheet. Confirm the training before you buy, ask the consumables price up front, and present the machine honestly as body contouring and slimming assistance. Do that, and a single unit can become the spine of your body menu.
